This silhouette seems to be universally flattering.  A v-neck, a wide gathered waistband, and a swing in the skirt.  I've done this before with cap sleeves, but thought I'd experiment with an elbow-length sleeve for a slight Fifties vibe.  Stitched in a rayon jersey that looks like a million shooting stars (they're actually a white slub yarn, but I like the idea of stars better).  The cuff on the sleeve has a slight gather.  Length is 40".  Dress is lined with black jersey.

[And if you prefer a liquid black sky, sans stars, solid black is also an option!]
